Overview

We are looking for a talented and creative person to join our team as a writer / copywriter, to write articles and web copy for our various website initiatives. Your main focus would be writing for a variety of online marketing initiatives including articles on various topics, web copy, promotional emails, blogs, press releases and online newsletters.

Responsibilities

Research, write and proof articles on relevant topics.
Rewrite and adapt own material and the work of others for alternative formats, while maintaining originality.
Use press releases and turn them into riveting articles.
Write compelling and creative web copy that engages and intrigues the audience.
Sub-edit, edit and proof materials by external sources.
Keep up-to-date with web-related trends, for example, blogs, social networks Edit and proofread copy developed by others.

Qualifications

Advanced research & writing abilities.
Minimum 2 years experience as a writer with exposure to a variety of online mediums (Web copy, blogs, social networks, promotional ads).
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to write compelling messages in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to write Web copy.
Expert written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
Ability to prioritize projects, work within short time frames and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications commonly used in business.
All levels of experience will be considered.
